  • Experienced Header Operators - Send Resume Now

    Rocknel Fastener has immediate Full-time openings for header operators. Requires 3 or more years of experience setting up and running both large and small gauge wire header equipment. The header operator must know multi and single die setups as well as how to set up and run a variety of headers. The header operator must be responsible for following guidelines laid out in OSHA, 5-S and ISO 9001 standards. Operators will inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. All applicants must have a high school education or equivalency, the ability to read measuring tools or blueprints, the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and be mechanically inclined. Header operators report to team leads, header supervisors and production management.

  • Maintenance Technician - Send Resume Now

    The Full-time Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

    Experience/Qualifications:
    High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production mintenance experience, or 4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC.
    Preferred: Welding Skills, An Associate degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    •Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
    •Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
    •Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
    •Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
    •Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
    •Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
    •Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
    •Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
    •Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
    •Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
    •Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

  • Tooling Product Engineer - Send Resume Now

    The Full-time Tooling Proudct Engineer:
    •Leads and is responsible for key projects, processes, data and analysis to include tool/die design and preparation, trial part verification, and timely preparation of quotations.
    •Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring projects such as preparation of records of expenditures and research findings, progress reports, and staff conferences to inform management of current status of each project.
    •Working with the production, operations and quality manager, reviews and monitors quality and process improvements and new product development. Sets up specification controls and quality standards.
    •Makes recommendations regarding the use of staff, technology, product, and equipment requirements and improvements.
    •Plans and implements for process and equipment changes or introduction including layout, schedule, etc.
    •Participates in 5S, safety, training, and continuous improvement activities in their area.
    •Recommends technology, facility and equipment requirements or improvements.
    •Actively participates in appropriate support for manufacturing and quality functions within the organization.
    •Corrective and preventive action (CAPA, also called corrective action/preventive action, or simply corrective action) are improvements to an organization's processes taken to eliminate causes of non-conformities or other undesirable situations.
    •Root Cause Analysis (RCA) is a set of analyzing and problem solving techniques targeted at identifying the actual root cause or the reason that caused the problem.
    •MPR--Minimum Process Requirements is the process of documenting, analyzing, tracing, prioritizing and agreeing on requirements and then controlling change and communication. It is a continuous process throughout a project.

    Experience/Qualifications:
    •Bachelor Degree and/or 2 years experience in Engineering in a Fastener Industry
    •Corrective and preventive action (CAPA) experience
    •PDCA (plan, do, check, act) experience - 1 year (preferred)
    •Strong computer skills and proficient with SolidWorks, AutoCAD and/or Inventor and Excel
    •RCA (Root Cause Analysis) experience - 1 year (preferred

  • Experienced Roll Thread Operator - Send Resume Now

    Rocknel Fastener has immediate Full-time openings for 2nd shift roll thread operators. Requires 2 or more years of experience setting up and running various roll thread machines. The roll thread operator must be responsible for following guidelines laid out in OSHA, 5-S and ISO standards. Operators will inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. All applicants must have a high school education or equivalency, the ability to read measuring tools or blueprints, the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and be mechanically inclined. Roll thread operators report to team leads, supervisors and production management.

    Thread rolling is a cold forging process that can be performed on any ductile metal. The forming process can be used to produce other special forms. For the best quality threads, the process is performed on precision centerless ground blanks. The operator monitors quality conformance, movement of parts through the department, and keeps the machines and area clean.

    Job Description
    Metallurgists are materials scientists who specialize in metals such as steel, aluminum, iron, and copper. They often work with alloys - metals that are mixed with each other or other elements - to create materials with specific desirable properties.

    •Strong skills in chemical metallurgy performance
    •Design and implement process controls on raw materials.
    •Excellent knowledge of metal diffusion and heat transfer qualities
    •Develop and Manage the Metallography Laboratory to ensure customer’s requirements are met and that testing is carried out in an efficient and controlled manner
    •Manage Mechanical Testing and NDT facilities to ensure customers’ requirements are met and testing is carried out in an efficient and controlled manner.
    •Investigate complaints of a metallurgical nature and report findings and initiate corrective actions where required.

    Experience and Qualifications:
    •Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years’ experience in a similar role preferably in the Fastener industry
    •Strong skills in chemical metallurgy performance
